Biography Pathfinder

 

This guide has been prepared to assist students in researching the life of a famous person.   Winman’s Library Media Center has many resources available in this area.

 

·         Use the OPAC – do a subject and keyword search on your person’s name

·         Consult an encyclopedia – look up the person’s last name in the index

·         Check the biography section – these books have a call number of “B” followed by the first 3 letters of the subjects last name

·         Check the reference section – look under Dewey decimal number  “920”
