Dear Drum Rock Early Childhood Center Parents and Guardians,

    Welcome to the 2009 -2010 school year!

    As many of you know, Drum Rock Early Childhood Center opened for the first time last year.  As we begin our second year, we are excited that we have opened two new classrooms and our community peer program is almost at capacity.

    Please be looking for our new school handbook which will be sent to each family.  The handbook was developed by the 2008 -2009 School Improvement Team, which included parents and faculty members.  While I believe the handbook will answer many questions you might have pertaining to the center, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have unanswered questions or concerns.

    We have scheduled our Open House for Wednesday, September 23rd from 6:30 - 8:00. We will begin with a short meeting in the All-purpose room, followed by classroom visits.  The evening is planned for parents to see the various areas of our center and to have the opportunity to meet teachers and therapists.

    At the beginning of each school year there are forms which are sent home for signatures and information needed at the center.  Please do your best to complete and return them as soon as possible.  It is especially important that you complete all sections of the yellow cards.  When providing telephone numbers,it is very helpful if you include work extensions.

    I will look forward to getting to know your children and you this year.
